On June 18th, Cancer Future presented an evening of live rock and pop music and dance at the UW Madison Music Hall. The event featured a host of Lodi and Madison based talent, including Grant Hendrickson (formerly of the Cat’s Pajamas), Disposition, The Classy Few, members of the co-sponsoring Wisconsin Singers, and many more.
Under the direction of Ned O’Reilly (who also served as the evening’s host), music direction of Daniel Yeh, technical direction by Nick Ulrich, and stage management by Liz Foellmi, the show combined live vocal performances backed by an outstanding house band with enthralling contemporary dances. Exclusive choreography for FutureFest was provided by Erica Bardwell of Danz Xpress, Sara Wilcutt-Rohs for Madison Contemporary Vision Dance, and Katie Rhyme and Karen Zakrzewski of Dance Revolution Milwaukee. The pop and rock performances also included several short sets by area bands Dead End Moves, Behemoth & Leviathan, and Lisa B and her band.
