Kyle & Jodie

CancerFuture was developed by the friends and family of Kyle Rea for the purpose of forming a cancer fund aimed at helping to provide alternative care for Stage 4 cancer patients, for whom normal treatment methods offer little hope. These alternative treatments are very seldom paid for by medical insurance and often require travel outside the US.

CancerFuture’s immediate goal is to get Kyle back to Germany so that he can continue with his treatments. However, our goal is not only to raise money for Kyle but to help others like him who desperately need the resources to continue with their care.

Kyle’s Story

Kyle Rea, 50, was diagnosed with Metastatic Colon Cancer in January, 2009. By the time he was diagnosed, doctors found that his cancer had already metastasized into his lungs and liver. Traditional treatment offered little hope for a positive outcome so he and his wife, Jodie, began researching AlternativeCancer Treatments.

They met Dr. Robert Waters from Waters Integrative Health Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI who took over Kyle’s primary care. He also introduced the Rea’s to an American Oncologist now practicing in Germany.

Kyle’s first trip to Germany was very successful. “We are fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of this ground breaking treatment,” Kyle’s wife Jodie said. “We hope that this system will be available at some point in the US so that others here can benefit from it.”

The treatment that Kyle is undergoing does not have full FDA approval at this time but it has received the C.E. Mark which is a European marking certifying that a product has met European health, safety and environmental requirements for consumer safety. At this time, 32 countries recognize the C.E. Mark, however the United States is not one of them.

Kyle’s blood work shows that his cancer markers have dropped significantly, but he is not in remission yet and will likely need at least two more series of very expensive treatments. His insurance will not cover any of it.
